LESS THAN JAKE

Home. I think it’s the only good four letter word. If you’ve ever gone on a trip, long or short, there is nothing quite like coming home and going to sleep in your own bed. It is also bitter sweet every time I come home because that means another tour is in the history books. It also means that it’s only a matter of time until the next tour begins. With that said, we are gearing up to head over to Europe to start our summer festival run. This, along with the plethora of other news brings us to the LESS THAN JAKE UPDATE for AUGUST 10, 2008.

SHOUT IT LOUD 2:
We want to thank everyone that came out to the SHOUT IT LOUD 2 tour this summer. We had a lot of fun and want to thank GOLDFINGER, SUBURBAN LEGENDS (who are the best group of guys we have ever met. SUPPORT THIS BAND!!), BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE, WESTBOUND TRAIN, MUSTARD PLUG and all the other bands, crew members and club staff’s we hung out with all summer. You guys helped make a great tour that much greater and we hope to see you all next summer!

EUROPE, HERE WE COME!!:

It is seriously hotter than Satan’s crotch here in Denver today. And walking between busses with generators spitting hot exhaust at you just makes you want to do ANYTHING to keep from having to go outside. Thus brings me to our weekly update.
Despite the heat, we are all having a BLAST on the SHOUT IT LOUD 2 Tour with our friends in BIG D. AND THE KIDS TABLE and THE SUBURBAN LEGENDS, as well as our friends in GOLDFINGER, who come back on the tour tomorrow after a brief hiatus. We’re glad to welcome them back.

Today, Rochester’s weather is crazier than I remember it ever being. Regardless of the weather outside; inside, it’s always fun to play shows here and we couldn’t be any happier to be at Water Street Music Hall again as we continue on with our SHOUT IT LOUD 2 TOUR. We want to thank all of you who have come out to the shows, sent us messages, posted comments and for supporting us over the past 16 years. It’s because of YOU we are able to keep doing all of this. OHH CANADA (THE TOUR)
Well, we’ve been threatening to do this for some time now and now our dream has FINALLY come true…so we decided to drag our brothers in REEL BIG FISH along with us! That’s right kids, a FULL CANADIAN TOUR!! All of the dates are posted on our myspace and we will be sending out a bulletin soon telling you how you can get pre-sale tickets. Also, joining us on the run are THE REAL DEAL and one of our favorite bands THE FLATLINERS*. We will have new merch, new songs to play and we can’t wait!!

You asked for it…you whined about it…hell, someone even sent us an email bomb cause they thought we forgot…but we didn’t. UK, WE ARE COMING BACK FOR A PROPER TOUR!!
